Pros

Sales is a team sport and as the leader goes, goes the team. You are held relentlessly accountable to the result in this company and you are given the tools, training, and space for creativity in order to succeed. It is entirely on you if you want to win here, you can. Sales senior leadership is pulling for you. They want you to win. They want you at P-Club. You have the opportunity to walk through this journey with people who may become some of your closest friends both in and out of work. When you accomplish great things as a team then the people of the team have a way of staying connected forever. I loved the people I went to battle with and I would be open to a return under the right circumstances.

Cons

The cost of living where I’m located far outweighs the compensation of a top earner at this position. There is also an underlying miscommunication between sales, operations, and service. They are on the same team. What starts as strong direction from the top is often diluted through weak communication down the pipeline, down to the location level. It’s a humongous company. Uniforms are no joke. It is a tough, blue collar, grind it out type of sale and it’s not for everyone. It will challenge your mind, body, and soul at times. It will hurt and feel uncomfortable at times but for some this is where the growth is.

Pros

Upper management genuinely cares about their team, and the hiring process is simple and straightforward. Base pay and the monthly stipend are both fair, and I appreciate the company's structure — questions get answered quickly, and you have dedicated team member support. I also like that the role is self-managing, with CDR handling pricing and deal structuring so you can focus on your own performance. Overall, this company really takes care of its employees.

Cons

The pay structure for this role is a bit unique — after a sale closes, the CDR earns commission for the first few months, and then commission transitions over to the drive team. It's certainly not a deal-breaker, just an observation, and I'm not knocking the company for it. All in all, I had a wonderful experience at UniFirst.
