Pros

Flight benefits. (That seems to be the only thing going for DGS.)

Cons

DGS has a very unique setup. Though they are owned by Delta Airlines, the management for DGS is separate, meaning they have a lot of room to develop their own culture. Unfortunately, rather than using that as an opportunity to create something positive and carve out their own identity, the management has taken a different route. At DGS, the leadership is entrenched in a very tight group, with a couple of managers and some HR staff colluding with each other to hire friends from church and family members, while actively preventing much of the security staff from being given opportunities to advance in the company. Job postings are not distributed and access to the main office (where the postings are kept,) is restricted. If you do happen upon a job listing and apply for it, chances are your info is just tossed; you’ll never hear back. Ever. The overwhelming likelihood is you will not find a career here. Sure there is the off chance you’ll make it into Delta proper, but it’s tough to do, especially if you start out in security. Regardless of your education, if your advancement is dependent on making it past DGS management/HR, it isn’t going to happen.

Pros

Working at Unifi has been a truly rewarding experience. The company provides excellent opportunities for professional growth while fostering a culture built on teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement. Leadership encourages employees to develop their skills and take on new challenges, creating an environment where people can succeed. One of the highlights is the outstanding employee recognition program, which celebrates hard work and makes team members feel valued and appreciated. The company has also made a strong commitment to promoting a healthy work-life balance, allowing employees to excel professionally while maintaining time for their personal lives. It's a positive workplace where people genuinely care about one another and work together to achieve success.

Cons

Every organization has opportunities to continue growing, but Unifi has shown a willingness to listen to feedback and make improvements. Continuing to strengthen communication and collaboration across all levels will only make the company even stronger.

Pros

No pros to working at Unifi. The Airport is beautiful and people are great. Unfortunately the employees work very hard for little pay and support from Unifi.

Cons

The company has significant internal issues that are not adequately addressed by Human Resources. There appears to be a culture of covering up problems rather than resolving them transparently. Leadership seems more focused on employee retention metrics and maintaining appearances with the airlines they serve than on addressing serious workplace concerns and holding individuals accountable. One of the most concerning examples was the handling of a manager who allegedly inappropriately harassed employees over a period of years. Despite ongoing concerns, meaningful action was not taken for years.. Situations like this create an environment where employees lose trust in leadership and feel that workplace misconduct is not taken seriously. This company should prioritize employee safety, accountability, and ethical management. Addressing serious concerns promptly and transparently is essential to retaining good employees and fostering a healthy workplace culture.
