Pros

Flight benefits w/Delta (standby) , Flexible schedules , 15 point/year attendance system , over time availability , you can swap shifts with colleagues or pick up shifts with colleagues . You can also temporarily work at other locations that are in need of staffing and they pay for your room and board while you are there.

Cons

Pay is low , schedule depends on the status of the flight schedule so if a plane delays past your scheduled shift time you have to stay until that plane leaves. Short staffed like most places in the nation so you have to learn multiple roles (baggage/ticket counter/gate agent). You have to pay taxes on flight benefits, still cheap but you don’t fly free. You can only fly delta , your flight benefits don’t work with other airlines like most other airline agents can. It’s called Zed fare. We also can’t get discounted confirmed tickets. Also , although we represent Delta airlines we don’t get Delta benefits or pay we are third party agents .

It was a wonderful experience at work to serve passengers while maintaining my fitness and health at the same time.

Cons
