Pros

- Ok Benifits - Free product/company store - Pay for relocation for most job changes - Good people to work with - Opprotunities to advance, in sales functions this may require a move - Managers who do care about their people, however all of the "rules" some times get in the way of doing what is right for people

Cons

- The "rules" they will promote you and give you more work however they claim the rules don't allow you to get the full salary bump needed - There is no way to move up in Unilever without taking on managment over people and some people just aren't cut out to be managers and get forced into jobs they are not good at to get promoted it leaves you with some very bad teams to work for - There is not a lot of connection from the sales team to upper managment to give direction or have an understanding of what its really like in the trenches.

Pros

Working at Unilever in Raeford offers strong overall benefits, including good pay for the area, solid health insurance, retirement options, and additional perks like tuition assistance and employee discounts. The company provides a stable work environment as a large global organization, with opportunities for career growth and skill development in a modern, well-maintained facility. Employees often highlight the team-oriented culture, supportive coworkers, and clean, safety-focused workplace. Overall, it’s considered a reliable employer with good work-life balance and long-term career potential.

Cons

Working there can involve long hours and rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, which can make work-life balance harder depending on your role. The job can also be physically demanding, especially in production or warehouse positions, requiring standing for long periods and repetitive tasks. Because it’s a large corporation, there can be strict policies, less flexibility, and slower decision-making. Additionally, while growth opportunities exist, advancement can sometimes feel competitive or slow without the right connections or timing.

Pros

Great people, strong brands, and a lot of ownership. I’ve had opportunities to manage large spend portfolios, lead cross-functional projects, and work with teams across Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, and R&D. The company invests in development and provides exposure to senior leadership that can help accelerate your career.

Cons

Performance and rewards don’t always feel aligned. High performers can sometimes feel underappreciated, and career advancement can be slower than expected due to organizational complexity and internal politics. Decision-making can also take longer than it should because of the number of stakeholders involved.
