Pros

Lots to do all the time, great opportunity to develop relations with customers on a daily basis. Very busy constantly. Lots of opportunity to learn new things about a diverse industry. A somewhat reliable bonus program quarterly.

Cons

Management is in complete disarray. Supervisors have a hard time balancing being a friend or being your boss, employees are hired simply to fill a space in order to help get things done even if that employee has no business being hired. Work constantly, from dawn till dark, and then on-call on the weekends. Bonus program is great when you hit all the marks, but one of the marks relies solely on the branch manager to set the bar for the quarter. If he/she sets the bar incorrectly, you are out of the money just like that, with no chance to get that extra money back. Tons of stress on a daily basis.

Pros

Excellent benefits and a plethora of tools ans support. Company truck for sales reps at $75 per pay period. It’s a very well known company so you get a lot of business from national accounts. If you can get your foot in the door, it’s an experience that’s worth it. No regrets.

Cons

Due to their size and like so many publicly traded companies, there is a huge disconnect on the expectations. My manager did his best but you could tell his bosses were asking for unachievable results. My sales manager was clueless at her role and no sales experience to lead a team. Things she would ask from us were counter productive. Not anything I couldn’t deal with.
