Pros
You get great medical benefits including major medical, dental, vision, cancer, retirement, disablity, etc. The PTO accrual rate was 8 hours for every two weeks, which you could cash in or save up for extended leave (ie maternity).
Cons
You never get any formal training or managerial support. You are forced to work overtime. Parking is deducted from your paycheck monthly and specific uniforms are required for all staff. Actually taking your earned PTO is difficult because managers do not want to approve any leave of absence. There are no leadership opportunities and the only people who thrive in the financial and registration side of University are the ones that ensure they are covered when any problems arise. The culture is horrendous and the turn over rate for employees far exceed anything you'd expect even from a teaching facility!
