Pros

For new grads they have a program where you are in a cohort and you experience your first year of nursing together, kind of like a support group. Pay was good for a new grad

Cons

the floor itself wasn't so great. incredibly cliquey and refused to help new grads. i asked a question three times to the same person, spelling out that i had not done a skill before an they just explained it, sent me on my own, and got in trouble because i didn't do it perfectly. this is a floor that prides themselves on being a community and always helping people out. After one mistake i started getting targeted by management and some floor staff, and gave me incredible anxiety about going to work. new grad training is only three months, then you have a mentor to ask questions to who has her own schedule and is not the most available as they don't work on the floor. there were times on orientation where i was left alone on half of the floor while the rest went to lunch, including me preceptor. My manager would often come on the floor to whisper to senior RNs and talk about people which i felt was incredibly unprofessional. overall super unsupportive of new grads and it kills me because it was my dream floor and job
