Pros

I worked here in an I.T. position. They had a very robust I.T. infrastructure that crossed into Europe; there were several opportunities to join in meetings with co-workers in foreign countries. The company also had a heavy SCCM implementation with robust automation tools built into each image. I imaged over 20 computers while working there, learned how to install several different software tools and software development tools, and got to work with several different departments. They worked heavily with SQL Server, and I had the opportunity to work close to 100 tickets where I learned how to make modifications to SQL Server permissions in Active Directory. I also had the chance to work heavily with Microsoft Exchange, making modifications to mailboxes, mailbox permissions, and creating e-mail distribution lists. Towards the end of the position, they wanted me to contribute to the documentation effort; they had seen my writing and were convinced that I would have great ability to achieve this goal. The workers in other departments were generally friendly; I interacted with several people and learned a lot about how their departments worked. I was particularly pleased to interact with the secretary who worked at the front desk; she had a long tenure in her position and was very impressed with my background.

Cons

I am African-American, and I was racially discriminated against during the duration of my employment. My co-workers accused me of being insubordinate, refusing to work independently, and poor work performance. The person who was training me refused to listen to me and accused me of lying about my background. She didn’t believe I had the correct background to work there, and I firmly believe her perceptions and treatment were racially motivated. Despite the fact that I followed the work orders that she gave me and other work orders from the ticket system correctly, I was still accused of poor work performance and told to leave the company. I firmly believe this adverse action was racially motivated, and I was never written up for any accusations of poor work performance. If I had known my rights at the time of my employment, I would have reported it to the company and taken action against the company for racially discriminating against me. While the statute of limitations has expired on any potential actions I can take, I believe my treatment by my co-workers in my department was racially discriminatory and firmly attest to such. I am a very good worker with excellent credentials who followed the instructions, rules and policies of the company in the manner I was instructed to. I detest the treatment I received, and I urge any African-Americans applying here to steer away from this company's I.T. positions. I can't attest to any other positions in other departments, so feel free to apply to those. I think if I worked in a different department, I would've had a better experience there.

Pros

With the exception of some teams, company culture is great. Opportunity to work on some cool stuff

Cons

Super strict on in office attendance and recently culture has taken a hit because of it. Also compensation and career progression aren’t very good past year 1.
