Utica mutual is an organization that rewards and values employees that adhere to the highest ethical and moral standards while delivering excellence. In my experience hard work, dedication and delivery of a high quality product are rewarded. The company offers a “small company” feel while offering opportunities and career growth across multiple regional office locations. The CEO and COO know you by first name and are approachable and “real”. The whole leadership team is held to a high standard of excellence to ensure organizational goals are met but more importantly the employees are respected and coached to help them grow. The company offers a wide verity of positions for many different skill sets from finance to facilities. The benefits package is excellent including PTO, a volunteer day, health insurance a 401k and pension! I would say we have undergone a true transformation in the past year with leadership changes but also fantastic financial results. If you are looking for a place where you will be rewarded for working hard, being a great team member and being committed I would say Utica Mutual is the place for you.
Cons
Similar to many companies in the P&C space Utica is not an “early adopter” of new methodologies or technologies. Outside the Central New York area there is a lack of brand awareness of Utica Mutual.
