Thank you for sharing this feedback. We’re sorry to hear your concerns regarding management and work/life balance, as this is not the experience we strive to create in our hospitals. Both sustainable schedules and leaders who truly show up for their teams are essential to making ER a long-term, fulfilling career for our VEGgies. We encourage you to share these concerns with your manager or People Partner, or anonymously through All Voices, so we can better understand the current issues and work with you to figure out a better path forward.

Pros

Clients get to stay with their pets-this is so beneficial for helping the patients feel reassured and comforted during their stay.

Cons

The work ethic of the support staff is deplorable. There is chronic laziness throughout the staff (except for a few staff members who consistently work hard). VEG is known for hiring really young DVMs, and although they complete the 1 yr NERD program, many come out unprepared, are practicing medicine without continued mentorship, make grave medical errors, misdiagnose, and are incompetent surgeons.
