Pros
Sometimes I still feel like I need to pinch myself because VEG seems too good to be true. But it's all real! I have been flying back and forth to work at VEG locations in NY/NJ while we are working on building our hospital here in Denver. VEG takes such great care of me. They even have someone take care of my pets while I am out of town working shifts! I never knew that I could feel so valued. They make me feel appreciated every single day. And the way our company runs - keeping animals and their pets together - makes our clients happy. When clients are happy, they appreciate the job we do, which creates even more fulfillment. If you are passionate about emergency medicine and want to find a way to make it sustainable for the rest of your life, VEG is the way to go.
Cons
Some people might say that working overnights, weekends and holidays is a "con." (I don't think it is - I think it's a blessing to be there when pets need us the most. But for full disclosure, that might be the only thing people would call a "con.")
