Pros

Team works hard and really makes a difference. The open concept really works and it feels good to feel valued by customers. Non-strict work environment (possible con).

Cons

Company no longer stands on the same values that once made it so attractive. They are ignoring staff dissatisfaction. Practice poor medicine. Concerns will get you fired. Leadership is on a power trip. They are "offboarding" all of the older staff members - especially those who are vocal about the company's changed culture. Definitely about to go public soon. Oh, and horrible PTO (to hosptial workers). Office workers at headquaters received discretionary PTO

Our goal is to create an environment that not only makes for happy customers and happy pets, but also happy VEGgies! Thank you for sharing your feedback. Culture is so important to us, and this is not the experience we want you to have here. Even though you don’t work at VEG any longer, we want to make sure others don’t have this experience. Pros

Clients get to stay with their pets-this is so beneficial for helping the patients feel reassured and comforted during their stay.

Cons

The work ethic of the support staff is deplorable. There is chronic laziness throughout the staff (except for a few staff members who consistently work hard). VEG is known for hiring really young DVMs, and although they complete the 1 yr NERD program, many come out unprepared, are practicing medicine without continued mentorship, make grave medical errors, misdiagnose, and are incompetent surgeons.
