Pros
VHC is a great company with great upper-level management. The company works hard to ensure that it's employees are happy. They do so by having an annual meeting for each employee to voice their opinions about the company. Also, because the company has such high rankings in healthcare, if you do leave the company, it looks great on your background.
Cons
It's very difficult to grow in the company because sometimes there are no available jobs in your department. Also, when you apply to another department, many managers do not care that your already a vetted employee and hire external candidates. It also appears that VHC does not value education. Those with college degrees start off with the same salaries as those who don't. Even after you put years into the company, they do not pay you for your education; instead you are allowed a 1%-5% raise each year based on your performance.
