Pros

- Free parking - Patient population - Experienced nurses and staff - Benefits - Brand new facility and equipment

Cons

- Plan for overnight obs and call in the near future - Micromanagement while simultaneously not being managed at all - Leadership’s lack of foresight, poor prioritization, and inconsistent communication - Extremely lean staffing and UNSAFE practices that break ASPAN guidelines - OR staff favoritism - Lack of policies, protocols, and resources - Poor training for new hires - Leadership gossips with staff, including speaking poorly about other employees - Preop/PACU charge nurse always in staffing - Poor work-life balance (texting you on days off, before and after shifts, etc) - Feedback is discouraged and intimidation tactics used to prevent reporting of unsafe practice and workplace violence

Management and leadership do not care and never check in on staff.
