Pros
Great people and culture, amazing products, unmatched benefits. My time at VMware was some of the best in my working career, despite the high workload and stress.
Cons
Uncertainty due to the pending deal with Dell. Very high workload for front line technical support staff, creating high stress for all GSS staff and managers. Managers and senior managers being tasked to answer support calls. Customer escalations are rampant. Managers and staff are recognized and rewarded for "handling" customer escalations, but no recognition is provided for taking actions which avoid an escalation.
