Pros

The kids really do learn a lot of music. Some really cool teachers. I’ve had some good managers in the past. Serves a cool, diverse group of students.

Cons

- Mismanaged finances- our taxes are repeatedly done wrong costing us thousands of dollars, we seem to constantly be backfilling to make up for poorly managed budgets - huge classes with never ending backfill - insufficient staff for esl, special education, and mental health services for vulnerable students - chaotic- systems are run poorly. Days feel hectic and unpredictable. Poor systems for communication.

really phenomenal teachers. I have never felt more supported within a school system. pay has been above average, and the environment is incredibly supportive.

Cons

parking is really difficult in the city, but that can be expected. transportation is with bus, which is fine but sometimes not the ideal option.
