Pros

Great pay, easy work and outstanding vision benefits

Cons

120+ calls a day with no time to take a sip of water or breath,3week face paced training 4rd week on the phones, Upon interviewing they will tell you training is 6weeks to 7weeks. The second half of training is self taught on Modules for 2days only. You are given a knowledge article to research all your questions while handling the call effectively, all calls have to be under 3mins so if there's 8 people on the policy and the member want policy info for all members VSP advise speak fast or email the benefits over to the member, If the member state my identity was stolen just tell me my policy info over the phone or if the member states their not Tech savvy Team Lead will be harassing you the whole time, saying 1min,2min your at 3mins what is the problem. Upon hire I was promised a annual bonus, past March was told I will not be receiving this bonus. You have to put your foot down otherwise VSP will run clean over you. The work is easy, Management makes it super hard to work here.

Pros

The organization has been around for years but so have a bunch of their employees. Some employees evolve and some are stuck in their ways. There's various departments within VSP so there's a good chance you'll find a position that's right for you.

Cons

It's a not for profit organization so imagine working for a "sales department" that's part of a not for profit organization. There's a juxtaposition that takes place between a not for profit organization and their sales dept. As a not for profit organization you can make profits to pay salaries but not too much profit and not too much salary.
