      Pros

      Job description seems cool, get to be around achieved individuals.

      Cons

      Hired into a role where I thought I was going to be a Test Engineer that develops and runs tests. After a month of working there and completing onboarding as a contractor I asked management for work and the response was “we don’t have anything for you”. I was given busy work to supplement my time, printing, escorting, setting up meetings. Doing nothing that I was hired on to do. Overall completely empty role and wish I would’ve accepted a different job.

      Pay can be lower than the market, especially compared to major companies.

      Good program managers, fulfilling work, food at HQ if you ever visit.

      Cons

      Pay isnt competitive for the field. VTG is more engineering heavy, so analyst and admin roles arent treated as seriously when it comes to salary. No real upward movement for on-site employees, you are assigned you government billet and don't get any promotions to level 2, level 3, etc. PTO and other benefits are average for defense contractors in the area.
