Pros

They give you the tools to succeed and the managers are very supportive. HR has an open door policy and are understanding if you have medical problems, family problems, etc. If you strive to succeed, take calls, and genuinely care and take care of your customers then most will become repeat business. If you burn through leads and skip important steps you will not gain repeat business. Low pressure sales. Hours are weird which allows for doctor appointments and week days off. In recent years different schedules are offered to try to promote work-life balance.

Cons

It takes years to really learn all the ins and outs of 15+ cruise lines. Commission and pay can greatly vary month-to month. Paid once a month. If a client cancels you likely will have to pay back what you made on the sale. Many clients hardball and feel entitled. Discounts are taken out of your commission with a company split. Mistakes are taken out of your pocket. When either occurs in a different month than the month you were paid on that sale you might get strapped. You must manage yourself well.

Pros

Ability to work from home, and uncapped commission

Cons

Out of touch responses to any negative review. Rigid adherence to how things have been operating, and unable or unwilling to consider suggestions that would actually improve the relationship between company and agents. Surveys use a non-standard metric, just because it's what Alan wants, despite standard surveys (CSAT/NPS) being available.
