      Good Company for Consulting - Payroll Consultant Vaco Employee Review

      Pros

      Very professional, they listen to what I am looking for, what I am not keen on and types of jobs. They do not try to push assignments that are not what I want. For example, I want to only work on Workday Implementations and I no longer want to be responsible for full cycle payrolls. They do not push or try to get me to take a job I don't want. I don't feel like commission. I appreciate it.

      Cons

      I don't really have any cons, but pushed for one; I would say, it would be nice to have more routine check-in's.

      Pros

      GREAT work environment at Virginia State Police. Pay is good. Better than most contract employers for benefits. Supposed to get a bonus of a week's pay after 1 year and some paid holidays at that point. Best thing is getting to work on projects in AWS.

      Cons

      Requires 4 days a week on-site. No OT allowed. No pay for holidays, sick days or vacation. VITA requiring me to get a PMP, even though I was told I did not need one for the role.
