Pros
Salary was ok. General expenses covered ie. hotels and transport. Fellow employees were nice people to work with, there was the odd exception.
Cons
The average duration permanent employees stayed within the division where I worked was 18 months. There was little or no "corporate memory" because of this turnover of staff which included design engineers etc. I have never come across such a short tenure before of since. Senior management did not trust their staff and in general there was a lot of treachery and mistrust.
