Pros

Work Alone Opportunity To Pick Up Additional Properties and More Money But Only When You Have A Working Truck

Cons

Use Of Your Own Personal Vehicle Demands That You Beat Up Your Personal Vehicles Demands That You Leave Your Vehicle Running For 8-14 Hours A Night Poor Leadership No Leadership Or Corporate Responsibility For Beating Up Personal Property Doesn't Pay Salaries At The Rates Advertised. Management Calls At All Hours Of The Day And Night No Family Time Should Be Expected. Inability To Make Sure That Vehicles Stay Up and Working Given The Expectations Placed On The Collectors and Vehicles. Pressure To Not Even Go To The Bathroom While On The Clock and a Lack Of Anywhere To Use The Bathroom Since Most Gas Stations and Places Close at 10pm (When You're Out Til 3-6am working properties you have 0 options after 10pm / 11 If you are lucky). Most of your weekly pay gets put into Gas and Wear and Tear On Your Vehicle.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. We're sorry to read that you feel this way. We value our associates and continuously work to ensure we have a fair and competitive pay structure. Service Valets that use their own truck as part of the collection process are paid a higher rate (typically $3-$4 more per hour) to help offset the cost associated. As the truck is used primarily to hold the individual trash bags and transport them to the compactor on the property, the amount of gas consumption should be minimal as the vehicle is not running for most of the time during collection and there is no offsite dumping required. If you would like to share any additional feedback or ideas on how we can improve, please email me at antonio.fiorentino@valetliving.com

Pros

The company support and benefits are great. They do try and train you but you're on your own since it's a remote job. You need to be a self starter and ok working alone.

Cons

The product is not worth it. You have to rely on bad part time employees to do a quality job which is picking up trash. It's hard to find someone to take that job who could work somewhere else for the same pay. You are always fixing problems but the solution isn't good enough all you can do is replace or retrain the valets. When residents screw up it's still our fault. The peoe who oversee operations are stretched thin and can't fix anything. I've also been through 3 mass firings in 2 years. The company is always letting people go to cut costs.
