Pros

Casual dress, fun company events, laid-back environment, great office. Team leaders have a great vision for the future. The benefits are great for a start-up that operates within the cannabis industry.

Cons

Landscape can feel volatile with all the changes in the industry so if you don't know how to adjust to change quickly, you can feel overwhelmed. There also seem to be differences of opinions among leadership about a true work-life balance - unrealistic expectations of when to be available for your team.

Pros

Joining Vangst through an acquisition last year has been one of the most exciting and rewarding transitions of my career. From the start, the integration process was smooth, supportive, and intentional. Over the past year, we’ve seen incredible growth — not just in revenue and client base, but in our internal development as a team. We've expanded into new markets, launched new service offerings, and built out a stronger infrastructure that allows us to serve our partners and candidates more effectively than ever before. The pace of growth has been fast, but with it has come so much opportunity. The best part of working here, without question, is the people. This team is made up of passionate, driven, and genuinely kind individuals who care deeply about their work and about each other. There’s a strong sense of purpose and collaboration that makes every challenge feel worth it — and every win feel like a team effort.

Cons

It’s that with so much opportunity, it’s hard to say no! The energy here is contagious, and it’s easy to find yourself raising your hand for more — but that’s also what makes it such an exciting place to grow.

Pros

Paychecks were on time that’s it.

Cons

I had a very negative experience with Vangst Staffing under the management of Dan Hutchinson. The work environment is plagued by favoritism and discriminatory practices, and if you don’t “suck up” to certain supervisors, you risk being ostracized. On top of that, I was underpaid for my work. When I reported the issue, I was finally paid what I was owed—but shortly after, I was terminated with no reason at all. This shows a clear lack of fairness, integrity, and accountability. I would strongly caution anyone considering working with Vangst to be aware of these issues.
