Pros

Big company Good benefits Work/life balance is great - no need to work hard, you'll never be fired

Cons

Pay is a disgrace to financial professionals Takes years to earn a livable wage There are people in portfolio management at Vanguard that do not belong in the financial services industry, let alone the company Upward mobility is terrible if you don't fit their ethnic/gender description (must be female/nonwhite/attractive to move up) There are people placed in positions out of fear of being sued or in the name of diversity regardless of experience or skill set Company consists of cogs in a wheel, you are easily replaceable
