Pros
-Benefits (18 Days off for entry level roles, 4% matching 401k, 10% yearly contribution to retirement, flexible schedules, tuition reimbursement, etc) -Culture/work environment -Work/Life Balance, the office is always empty by 6PM -Paid holidays...only work when NYSE is open. -Co-workers, everyone is always willing to help -Great training programs -Paid for Series 7&63 licenses -Charlotte office is not directly in the city -Plenty of OT opportunities -High Ethical Standards/Morals...always doing what is best for the client -Job Security -Campus is about to open a gym and doctors office for employees The pay is low to start out but there seems to be opportunities for advancement. For a younger person a few years removed from college or just coming out of college it is a great opportunity to learn the industry and put a big name company on your resume. For someone more experienced then Vanguard may not be the best place to work because of the lower wages.
Cons
-Pay is lower than competitors -Inbound Call Center taking 50-80 calls a day in most positions -In a cubicle all day -Career progression appears to be slow -Not much room for new ideas -The job gets boring quickly and is not very challenging -Not many team projects or ways to get involved -You are on the phones all day, hardly enough time to check email and do career development activities -Taking a position with a competitor could get you a 15-20% raise
