Pros
Anyone who puts “great PTO” or “great benefits” here does not know what great PTO or great benefits are. I have moved on to a large well known investment bank and their benefits and PTO are outstanding compared to Vanguard’s. Nothing about this place is good please do yourself a favor and never work here. The only good thing I will say is that if you’re crafty with how you word your resume you’ll be able to get a good job out of it after you leave this horrible company
Cons
Micro management to the extreme Total lack of transparency there is no rhyme or reason as to why they do the things they do or at least they don’t tell you. I had someone tell me one time “oh you didn’t get placed into the “flagship” group because those kids have an affinity for finance” this was puzzling to me because I graduated with honors in finance from a school with a top 10 finance program. Zero room for growth On one of my first days I had someone who was in upper management tell our training class “I didn’t even know what a stock, bond, or mutual fund was when I started” this couldn’t be more true with how this company is ran. It’s an absolute joke of a company. Seriously look at Bogles net worth, it’s a joke for someone who is the father of mutual funds. This company could do so much better things if it wasn’t such a one trick pony. Everyone in the office sucks, it feels like you’re in an ant farm and everyone is getting high off the queens pheromones. (lots and lots of koolaid drinking). Please please please do your research before you decide to take this job. I thought I ruined my life by taking this horrible job but I was just recently able to bounce back. If you’re reading these reviews you’ll come to realize that many of these reviews seem lengthy. This is probably because there is a passionate hatred for this place because it’s so messed up. DO NOT WORK HERE IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT FINANCE. DO NOT WORK HERE IF YOU ARE MORE THAN A SWEATSHOP WORKER. DO NOT WORK HERE IF YOU HAVE A BRAIN ABLE TO THINK FOR YOURSELF
