Cons
Low maturity especially in the UK. Management feels threatened if you know your stuff instead of supporting you. Lack of direction and steer from management. Lot of lifers here who are here for ages as they can’t find a job anywhere else. If your manager is supportive then you will be fine so choose very carefully. You are also expected to do completely different role than the job description so be careful before you pick Vanguard maybe this doesn’t align with your career plan. Be prepared to do the role of at least 3 people, all the people in my team are overworked and unhappy. HR is on a different planet expecting tech people to come in 3 days a week in the office. I would be surprised if any talented people in Data , Developers and Security will join them instead of completion who offer better salary and remote work.
