Pros

decent pay within AT realm

Cons

Leave without pay. If the installation shuts down for unforeseen reasons, we are forced to take PTO. If it is shut down for more than our PTO allows, we must take LW/OP. We essentially are forced to take most of our PTO during Christmas time, since the staff is bare bones with our Gov Agency anyway. This puts many of us in a bad way, especially in situations where we potentially face a shutdown due to COVID now.

Pros

Nice management as well as my colleagues on some contracts, but that greatly depends on the contract you’re put on. It’s fine as a first job but not something long term since benefits suck.

Cons

Low pay with little room for raises. Senior leadership tried to pressure me into moving to a different contract that would have been a terrible fit, even though I was very happy at my current contract and my contract leadership did not want me to leave. The contract management was also very disorganized and poor. In my first contract, I repeatedly expressed my dissatisfaction working on it for over a year, and they refused to do anything to help me to move to a different contract even though they had multiple other roles open.
