Pros
Commission based means income potential is slightly higher.
Cons
Long hours, understaffed, lack of support from management. Shady dealings with my commission checks meant I was loosing money despite being a top performer. Myself and other employees have experience loss of our final commission checks after they manipulate you when you leave- after putting in my two weeks I was fired days before it was up and lost my commission check. I was promised a management position and instead I worked 12 hour days short staffed- sometimes even alone. (Should I close the store to go to the bathroom or get my break?) The pay in theory should be worth it but it’s not. The hourly wage alone isn’t enough to compensate for slow days and then your commission suffers for it as well because you’re graded on performance and slow days with no sales brings it down. The structure of the system they use for commission favors them over the sales associate. I have tons of documentation and have no problem speaking in depth further with anyone who has questions about the claims made. I’ve reached out to Tmobile and supervisors to try to speak out on it but have yet to receive a response. Further more turn over there is insane. (For reasons listed and more) I had people leaving before training was done even. And while I was there it was a rotating door.
