Not a sales focused company. Award trip is generally a three day trip to a US resort, maybe PR or the Bahamas. Variable compensation now has caps and golden handcuffs limiting top performers income. They are trying to force top performers to stay by deferring comp for a year or more once you hit a threshold they deem too high. Personally was not impacted but heard directly from several people they won't get their full payout for 12 months or longer. Work/life balance has diminished significantly in the last year. Emails and calls on the weekend and after hours used to be rare but have become common. Working a 10 hour day is the norm now. The workload of administrative, sales ops, finance and other areas seem even worse. The turnover in those positions is high and will soon impact our abikity to serve our customers; a lot of good people have left because they are expected to take on the additional workload with little to no recognition for their efforts. Cost of living has increased significantly this year; look at prices of any grocery item! For sales, raises were less than 1% for most of the people I know which is a slap in the face especially when you combine it with the changes to commission plan. Again, seems back office has it even worse as they are losing lots of folks and it was just announced they will need to be in the HQ office a minimum of two days a week which has not been well received.
