Pros
401k match plus great benefits Adequately staffed in most centers Little work for good pay (there are days you literally just sit in your phone all day watching movies, but workload depends on center) Donors come regularly for the most part, and are tested for blood borne pathogens. Risk for the phlebotomist to contract blood borne pathogen at work is miniscule Safety and healthcare is the company's top priority
Cons
You work with the same people almost every day, and have to learn how to deal with the bad eggs. Donors smell or are rude sometimes. However,bad encounters are far and few between, compared with other jobs in healthcare. One is required to work middle/late shifts occasionally . I work 2 a week.
