      Pros

      Met some great people during my employment with Vertex. Benefits good.

      Cons

      Leadership team is out of touch with reality. Definitely a culture of who you know in order to get supported and promoted. CEO has no idea what is happening with his leaders in management and how they are creating a toxic environment.

      Pros

      - Valuable to have a job in this market, and somewhere that historically pays a market rate - unlimited PTO for fulltime

      Cons

      - New CEO is something...concerning. Workforce reduction, replacing C-suite with former pals from previous companies, huge push on AI without the subsequent reassurance that our jobs won't be replaced. Seems like the goal is for all of us to train AI to do our jobs before getting let go. Really tone deaf when us little people have livlihoods on the line.
