Pros

Flexible Schedule at times. Working with DD individuals is always great! Loved caring for people.

Cons

Horrible overtime, mismanagement of direct care staff. Too much for Program Managers to do. Scheduling direct care staff, payroll, and covering shifts for people while trying to be state compliant, and being responible for care plans and follow through. Too much to do. Poor communication between management and directors. Training is all over the state on OH and no compensation. No real support from inside. The owner is an arrogant man who is more concerned about the way he dresses vs the way his clients are treated.

We do have issues with overtime due to the shortage of direct support professionals that is affecting providers nationwide. We have worked diligently to take certain functions away from Program Managers so they can spend more time in the homes of the individuals we serve, which has been met with overwhelming gratitude and success. Our leadership team has done an incredible job listening to our teams and direct support professionals, while making operational changes to improve the lives of everyone we serve. I hope your next position brings you the happiness you are looking for.
