Pros

A lot of improvements over the last year with business trending up. Employees and Management genuinely care for the people we serve and always do the right thing for clients and employees. Open door policy allows any staff member to provide input and suggestions. Some suggestions don't come to fruition but many of them do. Every division has a great team and everyone has been working together to help each other out during a difficult time for our industry.

Cons

Industry wide staffing crisis as DSPs are severely unpaid due to government reimbursements. This results in a lot of staff working over 40 hours and frequently being on call to cover shifts when needed.

Thank you for your post, I really appreciate it. We are lucky to have so many dedicated people committed to always doing the right thing. Being underfunded is the number one issue industry wide that we will be working with the legislature on this year...this has to change. We have too many people who dedicate their lives to people in need and they need raises! Thank you for your advice, we will keep our head down to keep making improvements as we change lives every day. Your positive reinforcement means a lot to me.

Pros

Easy to get your foot in the door for almost any position. There were some really great coworkers who made it bearable

Cons

The culture is just terrible. Most people in the company are working significantly more than is healthy and are being underpaid/under appreciated. It’s almost impossible to get time off without feeling like you’re leaving extra work for coworkers and/or management is guilting you. Middle management passes down commands from higher ups without being willing to hear out their staff or advocate for them. There is a very clear disconnect between the DPSs, TBS Specialists, other field staff, and anyone working in management. Your manager makes or breaks your experience and upper management won’t reprimand or make changes when a bad manager chases staff away. High turnover makes it really difficult to feel connected to the community and it’s really easy to feel like your voice is not being heard. There are so many concerning stories about our clients that get passed around, and a lot of them get chalked up to “it’s the field”. I would never recommend anyone I know to work for this company or receive their services.
