Pros

flexible when convenient for the collective, good PTO accrual rate but difficult to get more than 1 day off (didn't happen during my time there)

Cons

poor gatekeeping in promoting leadership. "Closed door" conversations are code for unethical or abusive choices being covered up. Disregard of basic humanity for employees if /any/ flak is being raised by a client. You will get sent to a psychiatrist by your leadership when you show any signs of stress and they will follow up with the mental health professional of your election because "we pay the insurance." Viaquest does not respect privacy of their employees nor clients if leadership has any "equivocations" in matters.

Thank you for your post. I can assure you that we do not consult with any employees physician. It doesn't matter if we pay the insurance or not, it is against HIPPA regulations for any medical professional to consult with anyone other than the patient without express consent from the patient so what you are suggesting never happened. Similarly, the issues you suggest were covered up never happened. We have a great team in Northwest Ohio who lives out our values and culture every day, we are lucky to have them!

Pros

Easy to get your foot in the door for almost any position. There were some really great coworkers who made it bearable

Cons

The culture is just terrible. Most people in the company are working significantly more than is healthy and are being underpaid/under appreciated. It’s almost impossible to get time off without feeling like you’re leaving extra work for coworkers and/or management is guilting you. Middle management passes down commands from higher ups without being willing to hear out their staff or advocate for them. There is a very clear disconnect between the DPSs, TBS Specialists, other field staff, and anyone working in management. Your manager makes or breaks your experience and upper management won’t reprimand or make changes when a bad manager chases staff away. High turnover makes it really difficult to feel connected to the community and it’s really easy to feel like your voice is not being heard. There are so many concerning stories about our clients that get passed around, and a lot of them get chalked up to “it’s the field”. I would never recommend anyone I know to work for this company or receive their services.
