Pros

Great benefits. Some talented and supportive colleagues who genuinely want to do a good job. Opportunity to gain experience in a large organisation.

Cons

In my experience, there are significant cultural challenges within the organisation that may explain why it was not recognised as an Employer of the Year. I observed instances of bullying and intimidating behaviour that, in my view, were not addressed effectively. Raising concerns did not appear to result in meaningful action, and the level of support provided by HR fell short of expectations, leaving employees feeling unheard. These issues seemed to have an impact on employee morale and wellbeing, and I witnessed a number of talented colleagues choose to leave the organisation as a result. There also appeared to be a lack of accountability in some areas, with high-performing and dedicated employees often carrying a disproportionate workload while others faced fewer consequences for underperformance. Additionally, the frequency of restructures and redundancies created uncertainty and negatively affected employee confidence. I believe the workplace would benefit from stronger leadership accountability, a greater commitment to employee wellbeing, and a culture that promotes psychological safety, fairness, and respect for all employees.

Pros

Flexibility of working time Unlimited personal days Get to travel around the world Compensation & benefits

Cons

Generally more than a 40 hour week. Working globally, you could be up as early as 5:00 am for calls and as late as 11:00 pm at night or 1:00 in the morning. Working remotely in a global role can sometimes be exhausting as you’re generally in meeting (video calls) during core business hours and having to get work done around the calls.
