Pros
You aspire at least two great things from an opportunity at Videri: 1. Technical challenges The levels of scale and security needs the product will have is limitless. You can't get bored at work because there is always something that can be done more efficiently and all ideas are welcome. 2. Have fun Most startups have one or the other: Nice work conditions, OR great compensation to stimulate growth; Videri has both. I made more friends in this company than any before and the company was open to all kinds of arrangement that made my day-to-day extremely enjoyable. Other perks include - Laid-back atmosphere - Flexible work hours - Free cheese (in a fully-snacked up kitchen) - Friendly, smart staff - Open-minded, listening managers
Cons
A job at Videri is not for everyone. The most excruciating part of the day-to-day is having a CEO that barely acknowledges you. No matter who you are and what you are doing at a specific moment, if he asks something from you, it must be done immediately, because if it wasn't for his stellar salesmanship, the company would never have reached such heights. If simply going through a backlog, and coding all day to make the time go quicker is what drives you, don't work there. The multi-project meetings will bore you and you won't get along with teammates who like to pair often and have lunch together.
