      VT offers a lot of opportunities and has a lot of valuable professors to use as resources

      Cons

      The pay for graduate students, while comparable to other universities, is borderline unlivable, especially with such high cost of living for the area.

      Pros

      The experience was great. The PI was amazing and kind and I learned a lot, definitely would do it again. It yielded great results for me such as publication. I recommend for medical school or graduate school.

      Cons

      Difficult to justify if you don’t plan to have a research career, graduate or professional school because the pay is lower than other positions available in Blacksburg.
