Pros
A lot of great health and retirement benefits considering that it's part of the Virginia Consortium of Colleges. HR department is pretty solid and available to answer a lot of questions.
Cons
This place feels like a sinking ship, unfortunately. With so many people leaving or roles and organizational structure shifting, it felt difficult to get anything really "done." The leadership has really "dicey" energy and is constantly changing direction. For some reason, things are always left until the last moment although preplanning in an industry/environment like this is definitely possible. The hiring process is questionable (perhaps because of budgeting issues) and can leave you feeling like you're not sure who you need to answer to. During my time there, the person I directly reported to shifted several times. A lack of clarity in the process and expectations left me feeling unsure of how to improve my performance.
