Pros
I can't think of much - the location was good for me - not a very long commute. Most of the people I worked with were very professional - just that everyone was in a bad situation.
Cons
When I was at Vishay, I came into a situation where 5 different companies had been aquired and consolidated into one location. Vishay was essentially buying up marketshare so they they could control it. The consolidation did not work very well - you constantly had people butting heads - people who were used to being a big fish in a little pond who were now reduced to playing a smaller role in a much bigger conglomerate. All while Vishay attempted to manage from afar with upper management being located in Israel, North Carolina, and Malvern, PA. Throw in a matrix reporting configuration and you have total chaos. I personally reported to 5 different people - two in Covina, CA and three in Israel . One of my pet peeves was the attitude of upper management in Israel - they are the worst (or best) workaholics on the planet. And they think everyone else should be too.
