Pros

The clients that's about it.

Cons

Management and people who think you're a child. I have been working for them for a while and what really made me stopped working for them is the fact that they were doing everything in their power to bash my name and say I do wrong all the time. I don't even know why I continued working for them. They gave me the cases nobody wants. They had me working on a case with a bed bound client. I have back problems and a bend in my spine. Do they care? No. I've been asking them for another case. I gave them notice a head of time because I was hurting myself. The care manager had the nerves to call the client's phone to be discussing policies and politics in front of the client on the phone. I told her she was very unprofessional. I had to tell her that I'll call her back when i leave 7pm. She said yea I'll be waiting for the call. How unprofessional. I don't deserve this kind of treatment. They charge these people $25 per hour and collect the majority of money for themselves. Did I complain? No. But I decided to cut loose when that care manager did that to me. This was not the first time I was disrespected. Low pay pow mileage. No reimbursement for mileage. I asked myself. Why should I continue to work for a company that doea everything in their power to make me look bad. I'm replaceable at any moment and time. This job was great because of my clients but as far as management and office politics...goodbye

Pros

Fairly flexible schedule, not much micromanaging.

Cons

Pay keeps changing and not for the better. I started out as salary, then it changed to per visit, plus a small per hour wage. Now, with the latest change, you don't get the per hour unless you have at least 3 visits a day. seems easy right? nope. Clients cancel the visit for whatever reason, or caregivers call in sick and you cannot do a visit unless the CG is there. It is difficult to get another client to agree to a last minute visit. We have lost clients or clients have had their hours for CG's cut due to government cuts to the VA. This makes having enough clients to see in order to make your weekly quota difficult. Insurance is very expensive and they encourage you to find your own outside of the company. PTO is earned at less than 3 hours a week. No sick time. You spend many nights per week making your schedule and then redoing it when a client cancels or a caregiver calls in. This is all non paid time.
