Pros

Comfortable office, centrally located Nice perks (office lunches, massages, exercises classes) Very good health insurance Good-natured, interesting coworkers (often hear discussions of upcoming travel plans, recent trips to theater, book clubs, office fantasy sports competitions, etc.) Diverse work environment (several bilingual and/or international workers) Very successful and stable sales as a company, despite industry struggles Just recently completed a company wide satisfaction survey, to uncover and address any issues As a small company, often allows individuals and relationships, rather than corporate policies to dictate - Accommodate requests to work from home (temporarily or long term) - Accommodate employee preferences (as possible) for workflow - Coworkers are generally friends after hours, and are encouraged to socialize across dept lines Ambitious coworkers; common for people to be pursuing higher ed degrees while working, side business projects or aspirations common I'm a relatively new hire finishing off about 6 months on the job. I'm very content in my position and haven't come across any major drawbacks.

Cons

In-house CEO so management decisions are made quickly - Can have very abrupt change in personnel - Sudden reverses of policies or norms In particular, poor communication surrounding dismissed employees. Communications with upper management and/or between departments can sometimes be rather opaque Like most companies, occasional clash of strong personalities

Pros

Working in this company has been both challenging and rewarding. Not only do I continuously learn and grow, but I also get to contribute to making education more accessible and convenient—especially for students who lack the means to pursue formal schooling or live in remote areas. My work here feels purposeful, and I’m proud to be part of a team that leverages advanced technology to create a positive impact

Cons

nothing to share about it

Pros

There are plenty of benefits that employees actually enjoy. The commuter pass and parking program, weekly catered lunches, fitness reimbursement, and the training and other development opportunities.

Cons

The CEO and his management were so focused on making profits, forgetting about balance, the real vision, and company priorities. The current problems were blatantly ignored while taking advantage of employees, neglecting our well being, losing the work-life balanced we were promised! The outcome was overworked, stressed, and unhappy employees who felt frustrated at work which also affected performance in a terrible way! Instead of actually talking about the decline in performance and resolving the real problem, we were blamed for it and even pressured to perform better! If one would suggest decreasing our load, management would take that against you and accuse you of being incompetent! The CEO being obsessed with getting higher results, will immediately fire anyone who's underperforming and couldn't qualify their insane standards! Fear is the thing that drives people to keep on no matter how exhausting work gets from the continuous increase of workload, no matter how unreasonable it is. No one wants to get fired just like that, without any back up plan. The job is enjoyable, coworkers were great, and students were a joy to teach. It's just the leadership that makes this company terrible!
