Pros
There is a pretty good discount, time and a half on Sundays, decent insurance benefits, the pay is about average for the work done. Most major holidays Von Maur is closed, which is really a big deal being retail. I know everyone has this as a con but im going to put it here in the pros-- while it is ever so strict i do like the fact that dress code does allow you to pick your style and colors you want to wear. Yes, for women it is a skirt or dress, but personally I would much rather have the freedom to pick than have a dress code where i had to wear khakis and navy blue everyday. Hosiery is required, but there is an additonal discount on hosiery at the store. The credit department is essentially a call center that does data entry and processing in between calls. For the most part there is enough time in the day to get everything expected of you done. Most of the calls we get are pleasant, unlike other call center environments i rarely have to escalate a call. Most days i like my job.
Cons
Every company is going to have some down falls, water is not allowed at your desk even though you are spending an 8 hour shift talking. It seems to be a struggle to get everyone on the same page which can be a little frustrating.
