Pros

Live piano music, allowing duets and singers Major holidays off: 4th of July, Labor Day, Memorial Day, New Years Day, Easter Time and a half on Sunday No outrageous holiday hours, close at 9p like usual Managers encourage you to do well Good Sick time and vacation time, once you accumulate it Benefits are good New employee training is thorough and ongoing department manager training is good Meals provided to employees during Christmas & inventory (which is at 5:45a, not overnight thankfully)

Cons

Hardly ever have 2 consecutive days off (probably only once a month) Difficult to use the scheduling system TESS Working a 12p-9p shift then a 7a-4p shift the next day Favoritism Following the motto "The Customer is Always Right," but they expect you to follow store policies, so you should basically just ignore store policies and do whatever the customer tells you to do. Finding ways to push "problem list" employees to quit instead of firing them. Expecting you to clean floors for inspection in skirts and pantyhose

Pros

Employee discount- 20%. Can't find anything else positive!

Cons

1.Schedule is all over the place 2. Have to do truck twice a week with 0 help and just 1 person per dept. 3. Worst benefits EVER, pto given out every quarter which makes it hard to plan any time off.. you get like 20hrs every quarter... 4. Not allowed to take any unpaid time off.. 5. You get points for being late 1 minute, yes 1 minute and you get an tardee.. 6. Wannabe Micromanagers. 7. Managers hired straight out of collage with 0 work experiance who try to tell ppl with 20+ retail experiance how to do their jobs. 8. 0 communication and that is about anything.. if your co worker from your dept. Calls sick that day , you are not told but have to ask yourself when you see that they are not there.. 9. Dress code is a joke. Mr.VonMaur is stuck in the 80s.
