Pros

None, except made good friends and learned that everyone was miserable. Also, the job held me over until I found one that respected me as an employee.

Cons

Dress code-skirt and hose (even when unloading freight); cant be 1 minute late to work OR back from lunch; TESS (scheduling system) allows no flexability for schedule changes or requests (yes, people have lives outside of VM); not allowed to call anyone in to work, if a call out occurs; lack of concern of safety of staff (recent car jacking but not allowed to discuss)-does anyone remember the incindent in Oklahoma years ago?; no use of PC's for communication with team; and management always "goes by the book" until a customer needs a refund-they they are free giviing of cash even if item is returned in poor condition (and at the embarassment of the employee that just said no to the refund).

Pros

Employee discount- 20%. Can't find anything else positive!

Cons

1.Schedule is all over the place 2. Have to do truck twice a week with 0 help and just 1 person per dept. 3. Worst benefits EVER, pto given out every quarter which makes it hard to plan any time off.. you get like 20hrs every quarter... 4. Not allowed to take any unpaid time off.. 5. You get points for being late 1 minute, yes 1 minute and you get an tardee.. 6. Wannabe Micromanagers. 7. Managers hired straight out of collage with 0 work experiance who try to tell ppl with 20+ retail experiance how to do their jobs. 8. 0 communication and that is about anything.. if your co worker from your dept. Calls sick that day , you are not told but have to ask yourself when you see that they are not there.. 9. Dress code is a joke. Mr.VonMaur is stuck in the 80s.
