Pros
Good pay/benefits for a retail job Live piano Schedules are consistently updated 2-3 weeks in advance Store is clean and well-maintained Spacious break room Coworkers were all lovely!
Cons
Dress code is super strict & old-fashioned-- women can't even wear dress pants, only a skirt or dress The CD that plays in place of the live piano is extremely repetitive and never gets updated Attendance/tardy policy is very harsh, especially during probationary period The POS menu and scheduling website are both outdated and convoluted Management does little to deal with "problem customers"-- the policy is to let them walk all over you Some associates get overly competitive with sales/commission Only room for growth is into a Department Manager position, which is much harder and gets rewarded much less; the rest of management is there to stay Certain members of management play favorites with associates and department managers, and are unnecessarily hard on others Some of the rudest and most entitled customers I've ever worked with; the company's policies are overly generous and people take advantage of that The company is extremely conservative overall, which wasn't a good fit for me
