Closed on major holidays-although that appears to be changing Clean environment

Only one weekend off a month Employee pay is terrible, starting pay is $10/hour most people make 11-14/hr this is poverty wage for the expectations and demands of the job. Not to mention the cost of living Took away annual pay increases, only to bring them back due to backlash…meaning greed played a role and so did a lack of value and poor thought Introduced laughable, embarrassing retention bonus, people can add up that a $500 one time retention bonus isn’t the same as a job paying $15-$20/hr consistently COVID was poorly handled. We were One of the last places to close and the first to open, with very little protection for employees. This is a constant topic and brought up in exit interviews. You put employees and their families at risk…with little concern, especially in major markets. My executive team had to work like a dog during COVID closure. There was no understanding for what was going on in people’s outside lives…during a PANDEMIC. Says company is doing good, but keeps eliminating benefits Pay is not competitive Senior management is 100% white and 95% female The current diversity program is POOR, it is not a true initiative and the person running it has no background in the field. The company is doing it to “check a box” No water on sales floor or office Dress code is outdated for women and men There is NO open door policy. Feedback is encouraged, but only for the opportunity to use it against you. As a white female manager, I’ve witnessed employees of other races treated drastically different from white employees Almost every one in my store is looking for a different job, it is hard to retain when you can relate to employee concerns

Employee discount- 20%. Can't find anything else positive!

Cons

1.Schedule is all over the place 2. Have to do truck twice a week with 0 help and just 1 person per dept. 3. Worst benefits EVER, pto given out every quarter which makes it hard to plan any time off.. you get like 20hrs every quarter... 4. Not allowed to take any unpaid time off.. 5. You get points for being late 1 minute, yes 1 minute and you get an tardee.. 6. Wannabe Micromanagers. 7. Managers hired straight out of collage with 0 work experiance who try to tell ppl with 20+ retail experiance how to do their jobs. 8. 0 communication and that is about anything.. if your co worker from your dept. Calls sick that day , you are not told but have to ask yourself when you see that they are not there.. 9. Dress code is a joke. Mr.VonMaur is stuck in the 80s.
