Hostile work environment - Department Manager of Shoes Von Maur Employee Review

I worked for Von Maur for 11 years. I had a position in a department I loved. We got a new store manger who was young and thought she needed to let people know who was boss. I was told basicly that I needed to be more of a "B". When I didn't lower myself to her level she began writing me up for anything she could think of. Then I was pulled in the office by her and my floor Manger and was told I was no longer going to work in my department. My floor manager gave me 3 choices of what departments I could work in and the store manager told me I could leave the company if I wanted to. I can to work and worked hard every day. It was very insulating to have some who had not worked for the company for that long to say that me. There were a lot of situations where comments were made to me that I should of probably contacted Human Resources at corporate about. I know it has happened to others too. As soon as I could find another job I was out of there. I feel badly for the people the people I let behind. They were great to work with .
