Don't respect/ value good employees. One dept manager gave notice she was leaving and after offering her more money to stay, they terminated her and sent her home. Not smart when entering the busy holiday season. Hourly pay is not consistent!!! I'd read other reviews that hrly pay is $10.50 to $11.50 per hr, and that pay was not negotiable. I was hired at $9.50 per hour with retail management experience. Other sales associates make varying amounts, and dept manager hrly rates vary as well. Management doesn't deal with problem people. Management is very young/passive and inexperienced. One associate paged a manager to tell her that someone had been shoplifting. Management's response was "Can't catch them all." What's the point of having loss prevention if they aren't going to actually confront those that are stealing? There are cameras everywhere but LP can never be located when they are needed. Too competitive with very little incentive (1% commission) Goals are too high; cannot meet sales numbers when depts are over scheduled Tess scheduling system does not meet needs of individual departments Women required to wear skirts and hose
