The upper management at Von Maur is getting younger and younger. They hire new graduates and promote them before they have an opportunity to learn anything about the company. They advance into executive positions without an idea how to properly manage. This has serious consiquences to the employees, stock levels, and overall guidelines. Everyday I feel like I am going to get in trouble. I dislike waking up and going to my job that I once thought I could retire at. Management finds irrelevent things to pick on when major problems are happening. They blame promblems on department managers instead of the associates who refuse to listen. There are too many good people being fired for the wrong reasons and they keep rude and unfriendly employees who cause problems. Our customers are used to getting the star treatment but now they are understaffing departments. The associates can no longer provide the customer service that was what we used to be known for but management still asks that we provide the same service. It is near impossible when there is only one person staffed in a department and there are 5 or more customers waiting in line at a register. And...We have to wear skirts and hose...
